Stow Boy Scout Troop 1 Fundraiser

The Event: A 5K-trail run in the Stow Town Forest. A scenic loop that meanders near the Assabet River and winds through a very scenic woods. Runners will start and finish near the Bradley Lane parking area in Stow, MA. Come help support Troop 1 in their quest to trek off to Wyoming this summer while having a good time running in the Town Forest. T-shirts with the sporty ART Run logo for the first 100 registered entrants. Prizes for the top finishers.

Registration: Prior to May 31st the entry fee is $20. Late and race day registration is $25. Click here to view and print the registration form.

Course/Race Information: Parking is in the lot at the end of Bradley Lane. The start of the race will occur just over the bridge as you leave the parking area. Check back soon for more detailed information about the exact route and a map of the area.

The Beneficiaries: This fundraiser will help support the Boy Scouts of Troop 1 Stow who are going on a “high adventure” trip out of Jackson Hole, Wyoming for two weeks this summer. The Troop plans and organizes an expedition style trip once every four years, and has been doing these trips for 12 years. In order to help offer these significant trips to as many boys as possible, the Troop subsidizes as much of the cost as possible, with a target cost per scout of $250. The Troop covers the rest of the expenses, which are all inclusive of airfare, campsite, food and local transportation.
